Code of Behaviour for
Youth GAA NSW
At Youth GAA NSW, we create a space where every child can grow in confidence, connection and community — and where coaches, players and families are supported to bring their best.
This Code of Behaviour outlines how we work together to make that happen.
For Children:
-
Treat everyone with respect — teammates, coaches, volunteers and opponents.
-
Try your best. Have fun. Support your teammates.
-
Follow safety instructions from coaches and staff.
-
Tell an adult if something doesn’t feel right.
For Parents & Guardians:
-
Encourage effort, not just results.
-
Help your child show up on time and ready to play.
-
Respect all coaches and volunteers — we’re all learning.
-
If you have a concern, talk to us directly and calmly.
For Coaches & Volunteers:
-
Put safety, inclusion and enjoyment first.
-
Be positive and encouraging — never critical or shaming.
-
Set clear expectations and always lead by example.
-
Respect confidentiality and follow all safeguarding protocols.
This code is rooted in care, not perfection. We're building something together — and that takes teamwork on and off the pitch.
