FAQs for Parents
Everything you need to know — from what to pack to who can play.
What ages are the camps for?
Our camps are designed for children aged approximately 5 to 14 years old. Kids are grouped by age and ability to make sure everyone feels confident and included.
Do we need to bring anything?
Yes — please make sure your child brings:
-
A water bottle
-
A hat and sunscreen
-
Runners or football boots
-
Comfortable clothes for sport
-
A big smile and energy to play!
My child has never played Gaelic Games before — is that okay?
Absolutely. No experience is needed, and every session is designed to be fun, inclusive and beginner-friendly.
Can parents stay and watch?
Of course — we love having parents and family cheer from the sidelines. Your presence helps build community and makes the day even more special.
How do we register?
To register, simply fill in our Expression of Interest form — it only takes a minute. Once submitted, we’ll send you clear instructions and a link to register via Foireann, the official GAA platform.
You’ll be guided every step of the way, from choosing your camp to completing payment. It’s quick, secure and easy to follow.
Will my child be safe and supported?
Yes — all of our coaches and volunteers are experienced and trained. We create a welcoming, professional environment that prioritises safety, encouragement and enjoyment.
For anyone working directly with children, this includes completing a Working With Children Check and following our GAA Safeguarding guidelines. We'll provide all the info and support you need — it’s a simple process to ensure a safe, positive environment for every child on the pitch.
